Varsity Head Coach

Ben "Pops" Poploskie

Ben "Pops" Poploskie has been around the game for 15 years both as a player and a coach.  "Pops" was a 4-year Varsity player, and 3-year Captain at Edison High School in Huntington Beach.  After graduating he immediately began coaching as an Assistant at Segerstrom High School in 2016 during their inaugural season.  He would serve in this role for 6 years before stepping into the Head Coach position in 2022. Alongside coaching the boys program Ben coached with the Girls Lacrosse program from 2021-2024 for the Jaguars.  From 2021-2024 he was a part of 2-Empire League Championships and received Coach of the Year award in recognition of his efforts to continue to grow the game of Lacrosse in Santa Ana.  'Pops" also served as the Offensive Coordinator, turned Head Coach for a resurrected Cal State Fullerton University Men's program, helping them realize their first victories in over 3 years.  Further cementing his legacy as not just a celebrated coach but an ambassador for the growth of the sport itself.

After relocating to Mission Viejo "Pops" accepted a coaching position with the local Saddlebacks Stags Lacrosse Club and was swiftly welcomed into the Stallion family as the new Head Coach here at San Juan Hills High School.

"Pops" has expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome to his new community and is excited to build the Stallion Boys Lacrosse program to its fullest potential.  #RFTB
