Stallions Send Their Seniors Off in Style with a 19-9 Win over Laguna Hills

The Stallions teamed up for a proper send-off for their seniors. It was only fitting that several members of the senior class provided the spark that propelled the Stallions past the Hawks on a beautiful day at the Badlands at San Juan Hills - Senior goalie Graham Knapp capped off an incredible season with 23 saves for a .718 save percentage against the Hawks (Knapp finished his senior campaign with 329 saves and a save percentage of .679); Beau Doubleday added 5 ground balls, 6 takeaways, and an interception; and Preston Seemann scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists

Other notable performances were provided by Mitch Messier with 7 goals, Jayden Wells with 4 goals, Justin Supe with 2 goals, an assist, and 4 ground balls, Josh Mastropaolo with a goal and 2 ground balls.

Defensively the Stallions highlights were provided by Josh Apt with a strong physical presence protecting the crease and scooping up 2 ground balls, along with Nathan Newkirk adding 3 interceptions and a ground ball, and Jack Gow adding another 4 takeaways, 1 interception, and 2 ground balls.

The Stallions thank Josh Apt, Beau Doubleday, Graham Knapp, Syrus Rohr, Carson Schwalbe, Preston Seemann, Porter Watson, and Tristan Webster for their contributions and wish them the very best for the future!!!


Boys Varsity Starts Strong, but Falls to Mission Viejo

The Stallions Varsity squad came out of the gates firing on all cylinders, but ran out of gas in the second half, falling to league rival Mission Viejo 12-5.

Next up: The Stallions head to Capistrano Valley High School on Thursday, April 19th to take on the Cougars at 5:30 PM.


Boys Varsity Defeats Murrieta Valley 18-0, Improves to 7-6

Stallions lacrosse fans had an opportunity to catch a glimpse of the future as several young players saw action in an 18-0 win over the visiting Murrieta Valley Nighthawks.  Lucas Verde, Garret Clime, Trent Zabrocki, Spencer Jacobson, Cam Traverso, Carter Peszt, and Howie Emond joined the Varsity squad and put in strong performances in the victory.  Goalie Graham Knapp notched his first shutout of the season, aided by excellent defensive efforts by Josh Apt, Tristan Webster, Nathan Newkirk, Beau Doubleday, and Jack Maloney.  Offensively, Mitch Messier led the way with a dizzying 8 goals, with Nick Lagestee once again electrifying fans with 6 goals and an assist.

Next up: The Stallions resume Sea View League play at Mission Viejo on Tuesday , April 17th at 5:30 PM.


Stallions Varsity Defeats Segerstrom 10-4

The Boys Varsity team scored a 10-4 victory on the road over Segerstrom High School on Friday, April 13th, imrproving to 6-6 on the season.  Bossted by strong efforts in the 1st and 4th quarters, the Stallions were paced by Nick Lagestee and Jake Traverso, who each tallied a hat trick, with Mitch Messier and newcomer Jayden Wells scoring 2 a piece.  The defense put together a strong effort anchored by defenseman Jack Gow, who accounted for 5 ground balls, 1 interception and 4 takeaways, and LSM Beau Doubleday, who added 6 ground balls, 1 interception and 2 takeaways.  Goalie Graham Knapp had another strong performance in the net, recording a .750 save percentage.

Next up: The Boys Varsity return home on Saturday, April 14th to host the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks at 11:30 AM.


Boys Varsity Defeats Laguna Hills 9-7

The Boys Varsity Lacrosse squad traveled to Laguna Hills High School for their return to the field following Spring Break, scoring a 9-7 win over their league foes.  The Stallions were led offensively by Nick Lagestee, who tallied 4 goals and 1 assist.  Josh Mastropaolo, Justin Supe, Jake Traverso, Tyler Giraldin, and Mitch Messier each added a goal in the Stallions victory.  Senior goalie Graham Knapp recorded a .720 save percentage, with d-poles Jack Gow, Jack Maloney,and Nathan Newkirk tallying 3 takeaways in a solid defensive effort.

Boys Varsity Drops League Opener to Tesoro

The Stallions dropped their league opener on the road at Tesoro.

Up next: The Stallions look to rebound at home against Mission Viejo on Friday, March 23rd at 5:30 PM.


Boys Varsity Fights Hard Against Norco

The Stallions Varsity squad fought for a full 48 minutes on Saturday, March 17th but came up just short, falling 8-7 to the Norco Cougars.

Next up: The Stallions open league play on the road at Tesoro High School, where they take on the Titans at 5:30 PM on Monday, March 19, 2018.


Boys Varsity Records Second Straight Win at Irvine Stadium in Three Days

The Stallion Varsity squad followed-up their victory against Northwood on Monday night with a big 13-4 win against the Irvine Vaqueros on Wednesday, March 14th.

Next up: The Stallions travel to Norco High School on Saturday, March 17th to play the Cougars at 3:00 PM.


Boys Varsity Overpowers Northwood 16-7

The Boys Varsity squad scored an impressive 16-7 victory over Northwood High School at Irvine High School Stadium on Monday, March 12th.

Boys Varsity Drops a Heartbreaker to Woodbridge

(03/03/2018) The Boys Varsity team (2-2) took a tough defeat against Woodbridge 8-6 on their home turf.  While the team performed well, a late surge by the Warriors put the game just out reach late.  Goalie Graham Knapp tallied another 22 saves in an excellent outing.  Preston Seeman, Jade Fischbeck, Nick Lagestee, and Mitch Messier provided offensive firepower, with the defense, anchored by Jack Maloney, Jack Gow, Nathan Newkirk, and Beau Doubleday performed well under fire.

Next up: Northwood High School on Monday, March 12th at 6:00 PM at Irvine High School Stadium.


Boys Varsity Falls to Dana Hills

(03/02/2018) The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team stumbled in their third outing of the season, falling to Dana Hills 15-7.  The Stallions played tough in the cold rain, but in the end, the Dolphins took advantage of several man-up opportunities to build a lead that they would not relinquish.

The Stallions (2-1), return home to the Badlands at San Juan Hills to play Woodbridge High School on Tuesday, March 6th at 5:30 PM.


Boys Varsity Lacrosse Notches Second Win in Two Games

(02/28/2018) The San Juan Hills Stallions Varsity squad followed-up their season opening win with another strong showing against Sage Hill School.  The Stallions emerged victorious 15-2 on the shoulders of a strong defensive effort anchored by Graham Knapp (SR) in goal, who notched a 77.8% save percentage and support led by d-pole Jack Gow (JR).  Offensively, Mitch Messier (SO) led the way with five (5) goals, followed closely by Nick Lagestee (SO) with four (4), Josh Mastropaolo (SO) with two (2), and one each for Justin Supe (JR), Jade Fischbeck (SO), Jake Traverso (SO), and Syrus Rohr (SR).

The Stallions stay on the road for their third game of the season at Dana Hills High School on Friday, March 2nd at 7:30 PM.


Boys Varsity Opens 2018 Season With Win Over JSerra

(02/27/2018) The Stallion Boys Lacrosse team came away with a 6-4 win over JSerra Catholic High School in a hotly contested game on a chilly night at the Badlands at San Juan Hills High School.  The game was highlighted by strong team play on both ends of the field, with a strong effort in goal by Graham Knapp (SR) and a 2-goal effort from newcomer Jake Traverso (SO).

The Stallions continue their 2018 campaign with a game at Sage Hill School on Wednesday, February 28th at 4:30 PM.
