Stallions Clinch Sea View League Championship

The Stallions arrived at Laguna Hills High School Stadium on Friday evening focused on fulfilling a goal that Coach Rob Frith set for them in their first team meeting after taking the reigns - a Sea View League Championship.

Mission accomplished.

Led on offense by sophomore quarterback Hudson Jones, senior running back Chase Monarch (2 rushing TDs), junior running back Austin Hogan (2 rushing TDs), and junior wide receiver Joey Hobert (1 receiving TD), San Juan Hills stayed focused and produced time and time again, as they worked their way to a 41-14 victory that sealed the 2018 Sea View League Championship.

Defensively the Stallions stood up to the scrappy Hawks behind notable performances by senior defensive end Cade Albright, junior d-end Tyler Wegis, and senior lineman Shane Roberson.

Writing another chapter to his book "How to Play High School Football,"  Joey Hobert once again showcased his athleticism by hauling in a 44-yard touchdown pass from Jones, then dazzling the crowd with an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half.

The Stallions will now wait patiently until 11:30 on Sunday morning, when the CIF will announce the 2018 Playoff pairings and schedule.
