The Surf Team put together an amazing performance yesterday in Huntington Beach, capturing the 2022 Scholastic Surf Series D2 High School Surf Team State Championship for the 5th time in school history.  They won both the Men’s Longboard Division led by Matt Chance, Tim Giese, and Cooper Yartz, and the Women’s Longboard Division led by Lindsey Gattis, Emma Rose, and Chaney Lapes, as well as the Team Overall Championship.  After a  2 year State Championship hiatus due to COVID, these athletes stepped up and performed at the highest level to bring the title back to San Juan.
