Stallions Defeat Capo Valley 15-4

The Stallions returned to the field on Friday, April 30th with a strong effort against league rival Capistrano Valley and came away with a 15-4 win to improve to 2-1 in Sea View League play.  Offensively the Stallions were led by senior captain, Carter Peszt, who scored 5 goals and added an assist, while scooping 5 ground balls and causing 2 turnovers.  Junior Tyler Enright added 5 goals and an assist of his own, along with 2 ground balls and a takeaway.  Logan Smith, a junior attack, provided 5 assists and tacked on a goal to go with 3 ground balls.  Additional scoring was provided by junior captain, Chris Matthews, who scored 2 goals, added an assist, and picked up 6 ground balls.  Junior Michael Kelly and sophomore Baker Pascual each tallied individual goals to round out the scoring.

The Stallions faceoff trio of juniors Dylan Vargas, Slater Richey, and Noa Nelson were impressive with a combined .739 faceoff percentage.

Defensively, the Stallions did a great job protecting their goal with freshman goalie Corbin Hutchison saving 8 shots, and junior d-pole Cole Flippin vacuuming 5 ground balls and causing 1 turnover.  Junior captain, Eli Gow once again had a productive game with 3 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers in an effort that was cut short by injury during the 3rd quarter.

San Juan Hills returns to the Badlands on Friday, May 7th at 5:30 PM for their 2nd meeting against the Dana Hills Dolphins.
