After their Spring Break layoff, the Stallions traveled to Dana Hills on Friday, April 16th and defeated their league rival 14-11 to extend their winning streak to three games and improve their record to 4-3 (1-0 in Sea View League).  San Juan Hills entered the game ranked 6th in the CIF-SS Division 2 Poll and look to continue their climb as they focus on the Sea View League portion of their schedule.

Carter Peszt (SR) and Logan Smith (JR) led the scoring with four goals each, with Ford Goodfellow (JR) adding three and Tyler Enright (JR), Michael Kelly (JR), and Baker Pascual (SO) each finding the back of the cage for goals.  Defenseman Eli Gow (JR) contributed on the offensive side of the field with two assists.

On the defensive end, goalie Corbin Hutchison (FR) performed well once again tallying ten saves, with Gow leading the way with five takeaways and four ground balls alongside Cole Flippin (JR) who managed three takeaways and two ground balls in limited action following oral surgery earlier in the week.  Reece Thompson (JR) vacuumed four ground balls of his own to go with two takeaways as the defense provided the young Hutchison with solid protection around the crease.

Head Coach Scott Siembab, who took the reins of the program following Tim Reynolds' move to Texas in March, summed up the Stallions performance, "I'm really proud of the way that this team is coming together and working closely to get us through some injuries and the transition to a new goalie following the loss of Brayden Reynolds, who was a three-year starter in the cage - definitely looking for these young men to continue working hard in league play."

The Stallions return to the Badlands on Wednesday, April 12th at 5:30 PM to host Aliso Niguel.
