The Stallions came out strong in their 2nd game of the season against a physical Norco Cougars squad, demonstrating once again the offensive explosiveness, and fundamental defensive tact that proved successful for them in their season opener against JSerra.  San Juan Hills scored early and opened a 5-0 lead in the 1st quarter, added 5 goals in the second, then 3 each in the final two periods to beat the Cougars 16-1.

The Stallions were led offensively by seniors Nick Lagestee (4 goals, 2 ground balls) and Jade Fischbeck (3 goals, 4 ground balls), along with junior Carter Peszt (3 goals, 2 ground balls).  Senior midfielder Josh Mastropaolo and sophomore attackman Tyler Enright added to the tally with 2 goals and 1 assist each, with sophomores Noa Nelson and Chris Matthews adding a goal a piece.  Nelson also had a solid game at midfield, winning 4 of his 7 face offs, with senior Max Maver accounting for 7 FOWs in 12 attempts.

San Juan Hills followed their opening game defensive prowess with a strong night on the other end of the field, anchored by sophomore sensation Brayden Reynolds in the goal.  Reynolds saved 13 shots and carried a shutout into the final minutes of the game.  Reynolds was provided with strong support from his defenders, including older brother and Boise State commit, senior Dylan Reynolds (6 ground balls, 1 takeaway), senior LSM Cam Traverso (4 ground balls, 2 takeaways), and sophomore bookends Cole Flippin (6 groundballs, 1 takeaway), and Eli Gow (4 ground balls, 2 takeaways).

The Stallions stay on the road as they travel down the 73 to play Sage Hill on Tuesday, February 25th at 5:30 PM.
