The passing game at San Juan Hills has always been on the cutting edge. This is largely due to the experienced coaches on the football staff who offer a wealth of knowledge in this phase of the game.

Head coach Aaron Flowers was the 1991 CIF Division VII Player of the Year at Artesia High School. He went on to play quarterback at Cal State Northridge and was the NCAA Total Offense Statistical Leader in 1997 earning him Division I-AA All-American honors. Recently, he was inducted into the Los Angeles Valley College Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a Junior College player.

Coach Flowers coached at the college level in the Big Sky Conference at both Cal State Northridge (1997-99) and Montana State University (2000-2003) before returning to Southern California to coach high school football.

In his years coaching high school football, Coach Flowers has developed the following quarterbacks: Grant Schwartz (Ohio State), Sean Schroeder (Duke/Hawaii), Jacob Gibson (Sea View League MVP), Patrick O’Brien (Nebraska).
